Adult Ministries
There are many groups and studies adults can join to meet others and grow their faith.
WOMEN’S & MEN’S BIBLE STUDIES
There are many different Bible studies that meet throughout the week at Messiah. We believe that through our study of God’s Word, we can help each other grow in a relationship with Him and strengthen our relationships with one another. Check out our events calendar and find a time and group that fits your needs and schedule.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
Multiple studies are offered twice a year, fall and winter, for adults and high school students. Topics are wide-ranging, such as dealing with grief to studying the Belgic Confession. The classes meet during the youth Sunday School hour, which begins after the morning service and goes until 11:45am.

SMALL GROUPS
God made people to be in community together. We were created to share experiences, lift each other up, and watch out for our spiritual welfare. Small groups at Messiah are made up of 8-12 people who meet together regularly. It’s a great way to experience God’s love as you study his Word, pray, and share together.

M.O.M.S. (Moms Offering Moms Support)
Overwhelmed with being a single mom? Don’t struggle alone. M.O.M.S. (Moms Offering Moms Support) – group for Single Moms is a ministry that brings together those with a common thread, a community of women all trying to meet the challenges of life as a single mom. We welcome any single mother (most are between 20 and 40 years old). The moms meet in a small group community. They work together to improve their faith and prayer life by sharing joys, sorrows, and concerns. We also invite the mothers to bring their children along. The kids enjoy a program specifically created for their needs. M.O.M.S. meets in the basement of the church at 6:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, dinner is provided.

SENIORS
The senior’s group includes retirees, grandparents, couples, singles, and widows/widowers who desire to be fruitful servants of Christ. They want to support & pray for one another and strengthen each other in faith. Messiah Seniors meet on the first Wednesday of the month for breakfast at Russ’, 8:00 am. They also get together for potlucks, fellowship, speakers, special events, and occasionally a bus tour.

Pastor Gale Tien
Pastor of Discipleship
My service at Messiah CRC began in July 2019. After 35 years of teaching and school administration, I sensed God’s clear call to shift to church leadership. My family and I are very thankful to the Lord for leading us to West Michigan and, specifically, to Messiah.
I am blessed to have a variety of duties and responsibilities. Two of the main areas of service are Discipleship and Outreach. I provide leadership for Adult Sunday School, Small Groups, Bible/Book Studies, Prayer Ministries, M.O.M.S Ministry, Kid’s Hope Mentoring, Upward Basketball, a Classic Car Show/Community Meal, and Disability Awareness.
Please contact me if you are interested in serving in, or being blessed by any of these ministries.
